Cast Iron Radiators: Quality Matters
When the internet opened up for retail, it brought a flood of radiator sellers. Unfortunately, the quality of some of the cast iron radiators my customers bought was genuinely shocking. While they often looked beautiful on the surface, they frequently suffered from internal metal flaking, which inevitably led to problems in the overall heating system.
Another perennial issue, and one that sadly persists today, is sellers of all types of radiators over-quoting the heat outputs of their radiators.

Primary Pro is the brainchild of my friend, Dave Smith, who's been a massive supporter of the work I do. Dave saw a need for better external pipework and has helped the heating industry understand how to correctly insulate and seal it. He's also helped the industry understand pipe insulation in general. Renewables Centre
The Wolseley Group Renewables Centre is a new, nationwide initiative launched by the Wolseley Group (which includes Plumb Centre) to support plumbing and heating professionals in transitioning into the growing low-carbon heating and renewables market.
It is designed as a one-stop solution that addresses the main barriers installers face: training, technical complexity, and the MCS accreditation process. I'm looking forward to the exciting things I can do to help the Wolseley Group and it's a pleasure to have them help me with the Guild.
